I use interactive facsimile articles like this one to preserve copies of my work. In this case, a KQED editor used my data to create a map using Google pivot tables. When Google withdrew that technology, the map stopped working. I recreated it using the tools credited in the new map.
Where possible, I've retained the hyperlinks from the original story. Sometimes it's not possible because the source material no longer is available. When that happens, I adhere as closely as possible to the spirit of and informational content in the original source. Only links to source documents or web pages are live. Your cursor will change into a hand icon when it touches a live link. For mobile browsers, supporting documents are easiest to read with the phone held horizontally.
